Grand Master's Sesquicentenary Appeal
In October 2023 the Order of Royal & Select Masters marked its Sesquicentenary (150 years) with a magnificent celebration in the Grand Temple at UGLE's HQ in Great Queen Street. During that meeting the Most Illustrious Grand Master launched his Sesquicentenary appeal, with a view to raising £150,000. The appeal will run until the end of 2024.
Councils will be given the opportunity to nominate local charities and, at the end of the appeal, if your nomination is fortunate enough to be selected it could receive a donation substantially larger than anything we might hope to raise locally.
District Meeting 2022
On Saturday 9th September 2022, in the magnificent setting of the Masonic Hall in Bateman Street, Cambridge, the District of East Anglia was honoured by the presence of the Most Illustrious Grand Master Kessick John Jones. Accompanied by a team from Grand Council the Grand Master attended to install Geoffrey Frederick Spencer as the new District Grand Master for East Anglia, in consequence of the retirement of Right Illustrious Companion Peter Coles.
Having been installed, R.Ill.Comp Spencer then appointed and invested the District Officers for the ensuing year, including Illustrious Companion Alexander James Allan as Deputy District Grand Master, and Very Illustrious Companion Geoffrey Alan Keer as District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work.
